Metra Abstracts

I am always pleased to find beautiful abstractions throughout the city. These are steel plates under the Metra train viaducts in Evanston & Chicago. I could spend a lifetime in the studio with paints and all manner of materials and never achieve the same look. Only decades of use, weather and wear & tear could create such beautiful surfaces. Time is often the ultimate abstract artist.
